fake tattoos

about

i wear fake tattoos and it is always extremely obvious. perhaps you remember some from last summer?

i am not opposed to real tattoos on other people! in fact, i think it is incredibly impressive and beautiful and i am amazed by people's pain-thresholds and the beautiful art that they have created.

i guess i'm really just using the song as a way to talk about being comfortable with change. change is both beautiful and scary.

references to the other kinds of change are also made :-) just to spice things up and keep changing the meaning: pocket change, changing clothes inside a phone booth...for all you know, you could be a superhero! so keep on changin'!

lyrics

i diggity do
like fake tattoos.
i diggity don't
like the permanent ones.

change
it's a beautiful thing.
change on every corner,
inside every telephone booth.

i diggity do
like fake tattoos.
i diggity don't
like the permanent ones.

change
it's a very scary concept.
but it's the only thing
the thing that we got!
believe it or not!

change goes in your pocket
and out the other side oh
yes it does, where did it go?
