about

this song launches part two of the album erfect! : D i'm not sure how many parts this album will have...maybe just two...but here we go!

if this song were a movie poster, the tag line would be: what's scarier, pursuing a life of crime, or falling in love?

lyrics

this song is about an outlaw!

it's about how he gets on his bicycle to go rob a bank.

it's a typical day, typical job.

he locks up his bike and walks into the bank and pulls out a gun.

"stick 'em up, everybody. i'm gonna rob you."

but just then he sees the most beautiful bank-teller in the world. actually, no, the most beautiful woman in the entire universe. if she were something else, like, you know, a receptionist, or a lawyer, or a police officer even, he would feel the same way about her beauty. it was not contingent upon her being a bank-teller, guarding the money, guarding his treasure, the gatekeeper to his desires.

and he knew in that moment, that he could just stop pursuing crime, just, just be with her, looking into her eyes, in her eyes, being just, as beautiful (throat clearing!) as ever.

but you know, he (sigh!) he had already said the thing about stick 'em up everybody, i'm robbing you. she looked a little frightened.

he asked for small bills. but he got so lost in her eyes. it was a moment of truth. would he take the money or not?

and he smiled at her.

(breathe in and out)

and he took the money. (throat clearing!) and he walked out. and he unlocked his bike. and he cried a little. nobody saw him. he got on his bike, put the money in his backpack, and, uh, continued on his way.

(tormented moaning sigh)
